Property is our secondary activity. We acquire buildings in order to own them, preferably directly from the owner. Operating businesses come first.
What we acquire
Commercial buildings and mixed-use buildings. Occupied or partly occupied is fine. We are interested in a building as it stands, not in a plan that only works after a redevelopment nobody can promise.
Where
Athens, and selected other markets. If a building is somewhere else, tell us where and we will say honestly whether we can look at it.
How we buy
Direct from the owner wherever possible. We acquire as principal rather than as an agent. If a building is already with an agent we will talk to the agent, but we would rather talk to you.
Held, not flipped
Our approach is long-term ownership. The question we ask about a building is whether we want to own it in fifteen years, not what it might be worth next spring.
